I love this poster that a year 4 child gave me. She wants to start a club but has made it quite exclusive to join. Even though I cant join I appreciate the manners!

Another great Working Bee. Community working together
We had a job to do and we did it. The prayer space is official;y finished and now the classes can enjoy this space. Loads of families turned up on Saturday and we got lots of jobs completed.
the weather was on our side and we were able to spread bark, position the Whare-nui and lay the tiles.
the children will love this apace and it will become a real central place for children to go and spend time with God throughout the day.

Chinese New Year learning 2016
It was so great to see our Chinese community families sharing their wonderful culture with us all. The children carried out activities in the classroom that day and then we had them presented at assembly. Our parents presented a wonderful informative presentation about the Chinese New year and children and teachers learnt a lot.

Getting ready for 3 way conferences
All Year 5 and 6 children will use their devices to share with their parents their learnign goals for this year. they had to unpack these today and place them onto a power point that was part of their classroom one note.
It was an excellent lesson and the children really showed that they are capable IT users.
Cant wait to see the end product!

Waitangi Day Prayer 2016
We had a great prayer to mark the Treaty of Waitangi here at school.
It was a chance for us all to sign a school treaty.
We enjoyed making up the puzzle which turned into a rocket ship which fits into our theme of ......
On a Mission in learning and faith.

First day Jitters
As we enter Day 2 it has been a great start to the year. All the children turned up with smiles firming packed and were keen to start their day. Our new teachers Mr Hewitt,Miss Lowe,Miss Senicic and Miss Spencer all had wonderful days and we are very excited about them being part of our staff.
Swimming starts tomorrow for our Rm 1-7 children so this is exciting for them. The children have 10 lessons which really improve their skill level and their water confidence.
Settling into a new year takes time for children. They have to get to know the new class routines, their new classmates and their new teachers ways. Please remember that our teachers are always open to chats, emails and phone calls to discuss any aspect of your child's learning and welfare.
