Being a Catholic school means....

Catholic Schools Day signs we made for around the school.
We are going to have a great tiem reading these as we go about our day here at St Dominic's.
We loved Catholic Schools Day this year. We dresses in Black and White our Dominican colours and made our signs. We also had Monica Brown come to visit us.

Wairua Tapu strand

We are currently learning all about the Holy Spirit here at school.
We had a very special celebration on Sunday with many of our school children receiving their first holy communion and confirmation. Bishop Pat was with us on this day. We celebrated these children at assembly!

We had a great walk through last night. Each teachers learning space was look at and all teachers got something out of it. It helps with the understanding across the staff of Year 1-6 graduate profile approach.

Room 7 trip to Glen Eden library

What a informative trip this was!
The children learnt so much about Matariki and what this means for Maori.
This term we are learning all about Early Maori life so this was a great chance for us to learn more about this.
