Term 3 ends!

Another term passes on Bolton Street.

What a term is has been and we have certainly been learning loads. We have looked at plants and growth and part of this we took the whole school to the Botanical Garden which is always a great learning trip. Another learning area was a unit based on Kai and learning the Te reo words for the food we eat. As part of the learning we had our Maori and Pacifika group come and prepare and feed the whole school Umu and Hangi. What an amazing learning day this was with many of our children never experiencing this before. Thanks to the many parents that help out in somnay ways to get this off the ground or in the ground so to speak!
The food was fantastic and we just love that pulusami!

We have also held our annual pet morning where we had a range of live stock, none of which ate any children or escaped which was a real bonus! We had a special liturgy for the pets and St Francis the patron saint of animals helped out on the day!

Next term see the school production being held up at Block house Bay school., We love the support we get form BHB primary and using their arts centre is certainly something special for us.

We look forward to the build up to Advent here at school and unpacking this very special season with our children.

Can drive for those in need!

The whole school helped St Peters college supporting those in need over this coming Christmas.
Every child brought a can to help to help out.
Thanks St Peters College for this great idea!

Tane group Just for the lads!

Each week a group of boys are release from the class and come together to build some thing with our caretaker and Mr Cook, our old caretaker. They love it however part of the deal is that they ahve to write about what they do a nd read a few pages to Mr Cook.
The building is great the reading ok but boy is the writing a struggle! Great FUN however!
