First day back Term 3

What a day it was with all the children enjoying being back with their friends. Not too tears were shed by the parents however.
Children love it!

All the children's uniforms were excellent today with not one child wearing anything non regulation. Thank you for this parents.
Term 3 has many interesting aspects to it.
We have made a decision to make the term 3 a really CREATIVE one with teachers planning and delivering exciting and engaging lessons based on the themes of study.
For the first 4 weeks we have learning based around the Olympics games. We then have a week of reading challenges as this is our annual Book Week.
Following this, all classes will be looking at the word Growth and what this looks like in regards Plants.

We have also planned our annual speech competition as well as a Talent Showcase organsied by our senior students.
For Te reo the classes will be focusing on Kai/Food and at the end of the term we have a whole school hangi and umu going down here at school.
In the last week also we have our second attempt at a pet morning where all children who wish can bring in their animals and share them in the classes and then as a whole school.

We look forward to seeing you around the school taking part in all these activities.

End of term Prayer

At the end of this school term we
give thanks to God:

For all the teaching and learning
that have taken place in our school,
both in and out of the classroom,
For the talents and gifts that have
been shared and the challenges that
have been faced

For the burdens that have been
lifted and the hurts that have been
healed
For the respect and care that have
been given.

We give thanks for the friendships
that have just begun and for those
that have grown.

For the faith that has been lived in
our daily struggles,
We give thanks for the community
that we are and we ask you Lord -
Bless our students as they take a break
: may your Spirit inspire
Our parents with calmness over the next two weeks.
may we return renewed and refreshed
to continue our journey together .

We make this prayer through Christ

our Lord. Amen
